I've never taken a spin class before. What should I expect?

One of the great things about Cycle In classes is that you are in charge of your workout intensity, there is no competition. Arrive a little early and let us know if this is your first time. We want to make sure your bike is properly adjusted and give you a rundown on the fundamentals that will help you burn more calories, increase your strength and improve your overall fitness level.


What makes Indoor Cycling different from other group exercise classes?

There are no complicated moves or routines to learn. Whatever your fitness level, you will get a great workout. Hop on your bike, choose your resistance and let us guide you through a fun ride. Cycle In has top notch instructors, rock'n music videos and gorgeous scenic rides that make classes fun and effective.


How many calories will I burn?

The number of calories you'll burn depends on your weight and the intensity at which you exercise. On average though, participants burn about 400-600 calories in a 55 minute workout.


How many times a week should I come to a spin class?

Ideally three times a week would a perfect cardio complement to an exercise regime, consider adding weights and yoga/pilates to round out your routine. Remember to take one day of rest!


What do I need to participate in a Cycle In class?

Comfortable workout clothes and water. Choose something such as what you might wear to a yoga class. No need for padded bike shorts as we have very comfortable seats on the bikes. Our bikes have combo pedals so you may choose to wear athletic shoes or spin shoes with SPD clips. Towels and a place to store your things are provided.


Can I drop in to a class?

We welcome your visit. To make sure there is a bike for you (nothing worse than getting ready for class and not getting a bike!) we recommend that you reserve a bike through our very easy to use reservation system.
